SO, I have been thinking a lot lately about a lot of things and I wanted to write them all down. I love the spring time and summer time. I just enjoy being outside in the sun so so so much!! I bought the coolest
hammock thing (no, I didn't pay that much for it). Anyways, it is so portable and wonderful.
The past couple weeks have been interesting and busy, which is kind of weird for my life....
I went to the dentist about two weeks ago for the first time in like three years, because we finally have dental insurance. The last time I went we just paid out of pocket. When you have a lot of cavities, it can cost a lot! Anyways, this time I only had three small cavities and one of them was a cavity that was in between to teeth, but was effecting both. So that is the good news! I had an appointment to go back in a week to get them filled, but had to reschedule because of getting sick (who gets a cold in the spring? I still have no clue where I got it from). I went yesterday and got them filled. For some reason I was really really anxious and nervous, and they asked if I would like the gas stuff. I decided to try it, and boy did it help! The miracle of modern medicine!! I was relaxed and wasn't uncomfortable at all, I have decided that every time I am going to get cavities filled I am going to ask for that, because it makes it so so so so so much more comfortable. Without it, I'm constantly worried about swallowing, my tongue gets so dry and uncomfortable, I'm afraid that I might touch the drill and rip my tongue to shreds (don't know if that can actually happen, but I still worry about it), and the major thing is I have to breath deep and keep telling myself it will be over soon and not to get so worried that I feel like puking. With the gas, it all seemed like all those worries were nothing! I can so do the dentists now, and I really like this new dentist I picked!
Did you all know about the solar eclipse that happened on Sunday night? I did, only because of my husband telling me about it three months ago. He was telling me that he wanted to drive down to southern Utah to get a better glimpse of it with his dad, and that is exactly what they did on Sunday along with his brother. I did not go, because I was feeling under the weather still from that cold. My father-in-law bought all of his kids these awesome glasses from Clark Planetarium, just so we could all witness the solar eclipse. At the time, I didn't realize that the one pair of glasses that I had at my house would be used for my entire neighborhood! It was AWESOME! I already had lots of people at my house (two of my sisters, three nieces, one nephew, brother-in-law, my brother, and one of my sister's friend), so we were all sitting outside and it was a beautiful evening and lots of people were on walks. Once I looked through the glass and saw how awesome it was, I just felt like I couldn't let people walk by (all who seemed to be oblivious to the solar eclipse going on) and not have them take a look. I would say " HEY, you need to come look at this, it amazing!" So they would give a slightly odd look, but they would walk over and I would explain to them about the glasses and the solar eclipse. They would put them and look at the sun. I knew it was worth calling all of them over, because they would get huge smiles on their faces and would want their kids or whoever they were walking with to look into the glasses! Before I knew it, I had people coming to my front yard because they heard through the grape vine that there was a girl down the street who had some awesome glasses to look at the eclipse and yhat they should go look at them! It was so much fun, I had like 20 people in my yard at one time! I met a lot of nice people! So that was my big adventure for this week, besides the dentist.
Wow, this is turning into a long blog, but I still feel like I have tons to write about. As mentioned earlier my sister was visiting me on Sunday. They had been camping at bear lake on Saturday night and didn't get much sleep at all! They came for a visit and ended up staying the night on Sunday night just so they weren't so tired driving home. It was a lot of fun, I was still recovering so I wouldn't let the kids touch me and made them use tons of hand sanitizer. They probably were annoyed of me, but I don't want them sick. Crazy story, Dayana somehow managed to get a BB in her eye! It wasn't shot into her eye, she was playing with one apparently she had found the day before and managed to get it in her eye. It was in the front and below, so when Daline (her mom) discovered it was there, she was rushed to the instacare to get it taken out! What a crazy girl, she was the show of the instacare, all the doctors wanted to see how this little girl had gotten a BB stuck in her eye! Thankfully, they removed it easily and then checked to make sure it hadn't scratch her eyeball. All is well with her and now little BB's are permanently banned from ever being touched, or even near the house (not that she had them there anyway, she found it at a park).
Last thing I want to write about is my Grandma. I was thinking about her when I was folding a towel that used to be hers. When I stayed with her (which was a lot), she would always find me a matching towel and wash clothes for when I took a bath. They always had an intricate design on them, and it always made me feel special that she would find macthing things just for me..I just wanted to write that down so I would never forget.
WOW! So congratulations to you if you made it to the very end of this.
