I am still struggling with depression, I never know how much to actually write about that. But depression is the worst, especially when it just goes on and on. As I said in my last posts, I am working with a doctor on it, but my body seems to have so many sensitivities to medication that it has been hard to find one, that doesn't give me crazy side effects. Here's to hoping the latest one I'm on works.
The long lasting depression I have had, has been worse than the surgeries, in my mind. The one thing that was harder than the depression was the pain I had right after surgeries, and that was because the medicines (again) were giving me bad side effects, we got it figured out though. I always have theories as to what is going on or what happened. After I realized the surgery only took away some of my symptoms and not the worst ones, my brain couldn't handle it, I guess, anymore. I am doing a little better then I was, but it has been really really really hard to face some truths in my life. I will probably require the use of some kind of disablity equipment ( walker, cane, wheelchairs...etc) for the rest of my life. I will probably not get any better than I am right now, and that is heartbreaking to me. The life I thought I would have, has been stolen from me.....after 12 years of stuggling, I am coming to the realization that this is it. There will likely be no progressing, but possibly just getting worse as the years go by, and that scares me.
I only write all this so I can actually see that my life does progress. I can look back and see what has been, and know that I can keep living, even if it is the life I didn't think I would have. I can't change it, litereally.....my body won't allow me to do more....and my brain won't allow me to do less...Its a constant war.
