Treasure Hunting!

Hello Fellow blogging world!

Didn't sleep well last night, because I had treasure hunting on my mind....Yep, you heard right, treasure hunting. Have you heard about that guy who apparently hid about 2 million dollars worth of stuff somewhere in the rocky mountains, and he left a poem full of clues? Well I have read and reread the poem several times.... and it kept me up thinking.  He has given other clues to where it is hidden. This is what I have researched/found out so far:

-The treasure is located above 5000 ft in elevation.
-It is north of Sante Fe, New Mexico
-Somewhere close, where you could drive to, and since he was 80 years old when he hid it and it apparently weighs 42 pounds, it isn't in a bizarre place...like having to hike up to the top of  a huge mountain (but this one throws me off, because.....If you knew my grandpa at 80, he could totally have done that).
-Lots of people think it is somewhere in NM, but I have read several places that say he never said that, only that it was north of Sante Fe, NM.
-It is surrounded by trees, but seriously this could also be anywhere.

This is the Poem, where it has apparently several clues, and he says to start from the first one, "Where the warm waters halt." If you start with another clue, it won't work, so you need to work them out in order.

So here is my thinking of the list of clues in order...

1-Warm water halts- A hot spring that flows into a river or creek?? Maybe.....I have found several (like   hundreds) in the rocky mountains.

2-"Take it in the canyon down, not far, but too far to walk":  A hot spring that flows into a creek that flows down a canyon alongside a road.....

3-"Put in below the home of brown" : I pretty much get stuck here.....Home of brown? hmmm, I have looked up some historical places with the "home of brown" in it, don't come up with much... Lots of ideas are flowing through my head on this one.
- An old cabin, that is brown, or the tenants of the cabin were once named Brown. So maybe there is a cabin near by?
-could be maybe talking about people who lived in cliff dwellings, there are a lot of those in NM, and they are kind of brown.
-Maybe there is an old legendary bear called "brown" That used to make its home in a cave nearby....I would be a bit freaked out to venture into that cave though.
-One lady thinks that it is a home of the brown recluse spider...Maybe, but wouldn't the spiders be dead by now...

4- From this point on in the poem, I get a bit confused at what the actual clues are, like "No place for the meek", or "The end is drawing nigh". Are those clues? Or are they just part of the poem to make it continue on?

5- The next clue (I think),  "If you have been wise and found the blaze". Hmmm so being wise....and finding a blaze....I am still drawing a blank to this one. Maybe there is a legend out there of an old wise blaze... of something... Maybe a really old rock that looks like it is on fire. There are a lot of interesting looking rocks in Yellowstone, that have some pretty cool colors. They are really orange, and maybe there is one that looks like it's shaped like a blaze. Or maybe I'm thinking this whole blaze thing wrong....Maybe blaze doesn't mean a fire like object.  Next sentence, I think, Goes along with this clue, but again I am not sure. "Look quickly down, your quest to cease". Pretty much I think that is saying, look down and you will find it......hopefully :)

*Side note, I know I use a lot of periods, it is my way of putting long pauses for thinking. I know it will really bug some people, but it is just what I do.

I have lots of more ideas, but I will settle with this for now :)

EVIL

Well, It is currently Wednesday evening and the garbage truck comes tomorrow, my garbage is full and I have absolutely no desire to take it out and put the big garbage can on the street. I really should! I have basically been sleeping all day, it has been kind of weird. I haven't had a "sleeping all day" day in a long time.

I think, I am just a bit depressed. I had a doctors appointment yesterday. It was an interesting one. She was a physicians assistant and claimed there was no such thing as chronic mono or chronic Epstein Barr  and yet here I am, researching (again) and there is tons of cases of where people have chronic mono. I am going to be sticking with what my actual doctor said (it was my yearly women checkup, so I wasn't at my normal doctors). It is so frustrating! I came away depressed from that appointment. I get blood work done all the time and my levels of the chronic mono are elevated a lot! compared to someone who has had or hasn't had the virus  Once you get a virus,  yes it is always in your system, but your body is supposed to keep it under taps.  So here is my thinking on it. They have blood work for all different types of viruses.  So most people have been exposed to this virus sometime in their life and if they were to get the test that I get done, it will show a certain number of these evil little viruses running around in their body, but their white blood cells (which produce antibodies) are able to keep them under control and so they don't show symptoms. So what is up with my body??? I don't know, it can't seem to keep these EVIL little viruses under control! Not sure what is going on, wish I could just ask my body......I have so so so so many thoughts on what is actually going on.  There is a war going on in my body, I need a bigger army!

Anyways, My life is same as always, nothing new really.....I sleep a lot...... that's about it......(can you tell I am not in a good mood).

This is awesome. Where this video was shot is kind of what I have always dreamed would be in my own house someday!

Wishing!

So I was looking through my camera and realized that I had some pictures of the day I went to the beach this past summer. I am not exactly sure what day it was, but it was one of the funnest days at the beach ever!

My sister, RB, and I drove up to the canyon to the beach! It was wonderful. I was craving making a sand castle, and so I started and had help from my sister. Before I knew it, I had about five young boys helping me out (ages ranging from 4 to 11). It was so much fun and epic.
It was great! I had three red headed little boys helping me! They were so fun!

RB had actually brought his laptop, and was working on it, but when it died.He saw how much fun we were having and decided to come join in the fun of helping us make the sand castle.

Well Hello There!

So today is Sunday! I did not go to church....Maybe I am a little overly worried, but I keep reading about everyone being sick, and I am really scared to get the flu! I am afraid I will end up in the ER...I am probably way over reacting..

I just watched a really funny video, that made me smile huge!

Dance Walk

So I have been thinking about writing a blog post about things that make my life easier!

Here are some..This will probably be an ongoing list over several blog posts.

Thing number 1:

OK, so If you have a smart phone, then you will want to check the app out too! I think that if I didn't have a smartphone, I probably wouldn't be using this website at all.
EBBA
OK, so with budgeting have you ever heard of the envelop method?  Well if you haven't it goes something like this: Each month you decide how much money is going to be allocated into each category (i.e. Grocery, household, entertainment, etc), you then get envelops and  then label each envelop for each category and put the money into each envelope. So when you go to the grocery store and buy groceries, you pull out your groceries envelop and use the money it that envelop.
I never liked carrying money around with me, so this does it all digitally and will tell you how many days you need to stop spending money in each category to get caught up (if you over spend, anyways) . If you are married and your spouse has a smartphone you can sync them! It is great!

Thing number 2:

This Awesome  little portable vacuum, has great suction! I love it because I literally just walk around the house, vacuuming up everything..I use it to dust a lot too! It makes things easier to clean. No bag, so it can pick up the bigger stuff and you just empty it out. It really helps out in the kitchen, it does wonders! I vacuum up any crumbs or small papers, on the counter and those hard to reach places (stove)!

That is my list for tonight! I know only two, I will do more later.

Hello,
It has been almost a month since I blogged.....today was stake conference. Slept all day, so I didn't go.
I can never think about what to type when I'm actually typing. Does that happen to anyone else?
Thanksgiving came and now is gone, it was fun because we ate at a restaurant this  year! Nice, no cooking and no cleaning up!

Hmmmm, what else have I been up too. Oh yeah! I got a new nephew!  I helped babysit for a bit when my sister was in the hospital. It was fun! She had a healthy baby boy!
Posting this from my phone so don't know where the pictures will end up.
My younger sister voted for the first time! She was excited!

Do I ever learn my lesson?

I am supposed to be wearing my glasses when looking at a computer screen, or else i get a headache and sometimes that leads into a migraine if I don't take care of it soon enough. So I am sitting here typing on my blog without my glasses and I have a small headache.....bad Krista!

anyways, the other night my phone decided to control itself and I could really type much any more. It probably has something to do with the screen being dirt or something.

I am listening to the pianoguys right now, they are an awesome band....
