Well, I felt like blogging again.
From my phone this time
So there were like five kids running around the neighborhood wishing everyone a happy twenty fourth of July! It was cute, Ashley and I were sitting on our porch throwing poppers at the ground. When they passed our house one of the kids, who was no older then twelve shouted " and I'm single!" Ha ha ha, what a flirt for such a young guy, I shouted back " sorry, I'm not"
Ha ha ha
Another story. This one is about my colonoscopy that I went through a couple of weeks ago.
So I had been sick for three days, and RB had to stay home and literally wait hand and foot on me because I couldn't do anything (such a great guy!), but the day of my colonoscopy my sisters Daline and Ashley came to take care of me that morning so RB could get some hours in. For those who have had a colonoscopy they make you drink tons of disgusting juice!!!! Blah, blah, blah, makes me icky thinking about it! It left a disgusting after taste, and my sisters took such good care of me! Ashley even tried some of the disgusting juice to see how it tasted! She, of course, hated it;) they would both encourage me to drink 8 sips every ten minutes ( there was a lot to get down), and Daline would hold my water bottle right close to me so as soon as I had gulped down 8 sips( with my nose plugged of course), I could quickly grab it and take sips of water to get the taste out of my mouth....I have wonderful sisters! I'm lucky!
I think the juice wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't just mix it with water (RB was the one who was actually mixing it) definitely mix it with a really strong tasting drink.....sprite might have been good with it.
Colonoscopys's are a really interesting experience, this was the second one I had had, the first one was definitely not this dramatic. I had just been having lots of upset tummy aches and just wanted to make sure nothing was seriously wrong.
Which it wasn't, just I have a sensitive stomach and I have to be careful with what I eat. This recent colonoscopy, was because I had horrific pain in my stomach and then I was super sick, nauseous and dizzy.....and I was bleeding out of places I wasn't supposed too!!!...........sorry, tmi?
So I ended up in the emergency room twice on the same day, it was an interesting fourth of July! The second time was because my body had a bad reaction to the drugs they had given me earlier in he day. Blah......that was the worst I have ever felt in my entire life.....I think;-).
So that was Wednesday and I got scheduled to get a colonoscopy on Friday, so I was pretty much sleeping and feeling really awful on Thursday and then Friday morning. Friday afternoon I had my colonoscopy.
I had such a wonderful wonderful nurse! She made me feel all better, well at least mostly emotional! She was so sweet and helpful, it was nice to be covered in warm blankets and get some stuff for my nauseusness. I was put in a bed, given an IV (for third time in two and a half days),I was wheeled into the surgery room, and met the doctor. He was nice too, he asked me a couple of questions and then the awesome nurse told me she was going to give me medicine to fall asleep. I tried REALLY hard to stay awake, just to see how long I could......that didn't last long, she just laughed at me. I think I got through saying, "stay awake" twice before I was out.....
Before I knew it, I was being woken up! It was all over and they had brought RB in, yay!! I always feel better to have RB around!
The doctor came in and explained what I had....which was ischemic colitis.....in short a colon stoke ! Wow, what a crazy thing to have happen to me, luckily it shouldn't happen again and I just need to change my diet a little;) so there is my awesome story....had
