THE STORY

ok, So I was reading through my past blogs ( which aren't that many) and If I wasn't me and I was reading them I would be a bit confused. So I am going to explain everything :) Just for fun and because I am bored!!

Ok Back in December I got a weird cold, I didn't really have a sore throat, I just didn't feel that well, and didn't know what was wrong. The week of Christmas I was taken to the ER because I was having excruciating stomach aches and I seriously thought I was going to die!! So at three am I was in the ER, They hooked me up to an IV, gave me some medication, did some test and then sent me home. I decided to make an appointment with my family dr, because I was still not feeling better the next day. I got an appointment Christmas eve morning. They found out that I had strep throat! Crazy, but apparently strep throat can cause severe stomach aches if not treated soon enough. That is when they gave me a huge shot in my rear. I basically stayed in bed the next week recovering. I don't remember much of Christmas and the week after. Around new years, I decided I would get another doctors appointment because I was still feeling pretty sick. I wasn't terribly sick, just not feeling great. I went in and they ran a bunch of test. I ( and everyone else) was worried that I had mono. For some reason it takes a week for the mono test to be done. In the mean time I decided to go back to school with 16 credits and work, to see if this icky sickness would go away. I don't think that was such a good idea. I didn't get the results for the test back until about jan. 20th, and yes I had a bad case of mono. So the doctor said that it should go away within 4 to 6 weeks and that I needed to rest lots and drink lots of water. So I quit school, and since I had work study I quit work too. And I basically did what the doctor said, Sleep!! I got really bored, because you are not supposed to do a lot of activity because when you have mono your spleen is enlarged and could rupture, well I didn't want that!! I read lots of books, and crocheted lots of beanies. A month past and I could feel myself getting better. I was happy to be getting better, even if it was just a little bit. This is where I started to think I was better enough to start selling Mary Kay, so I signed up and got a bunch of inventory! I shouldn't have gotten so much. When I just barely started up with mary kay, I got something called Bells palsy and it paralyzed half of my face! Fun huh! So I was back at the ER, because it is kind of scary when you wake up and you cant blink or move half of your face, and all you can think about is a stoke! Luckily it wasn't and I was so happy it wasn't!!! Since my body was suffering with mono, another virus (the one that causes cold sores) decided to take over and cause my face to be half paralyzed! It was a really weird feeling. It isn't permanent, and luckily I am all better now. I just hope that doesn't happen again, because taping my eye shut every night was not fun. Not to mention the freaky looks I would get from people because one eye would not blink. It took about a month, but my face started slowly getting better. Now you can't even tell.
So now you are probably wondering "what about the mono?" yes I will finish that story. Ok so during this whole bells palsy and my Mary Kay stuff, I started noticing a slow regression. I wasn't all the way better by any means, but I felt like I was getting worse and not better. I went back to the doctors, and they tested my mono again. WEll.... I still had it! It was still elevated in my blood. This was in April. I had mono for four months already, and I still had it. Well so I started to slow things down a bit. I still felt like I continued to get worse over the next month. I went back to the Doctors in July and he declared that I have Chronic mono. He was really worried that I might get this, and I did. SO.....Now what??? I am not sure..... I get tired and sick really easily, but at least its not as bad as it was in January. I am not contagious, so don't worry, if you see me in the store there is no need to run away screaming :) I didn't do much the last month in deciding what to do, because I was in Yellowstone( which was very therapeutic) and I was more worried about both of RB's parents. I made a doctors appointment and went yesterday. We are testing me for chronic mono again, to see if it has gone down. I really don't think it has because I slept all day long today. The doctor is going to refer me to a specialist here in Logan that deals with Chronic mono and chronic fatigue patients, if it is still elevated.

So that has been my wonderful life since January!! Now you all know, and you can read my blog and not get confused at the little bits here and there about me not feeling good, or sleeping all day. Hope you all have a great night!

Hello

I should be more consistently updating this, because It is basically my journal. I haven't been doing to well at keeping up with my journal. I guess My life doesn't really change that much.
Recently I started school, and I originally was taking six credits, so part time. After sleeping for two days after I went to the biology class and the lab, I decided maybe it was too much for my body to handle. Sounds lame that I cant even take six credits....I know, but at least I tried. I don't know what I was thinking when I signed up for another biology class, and it is a 4 thousand level class. Yeah, I didn't last, but at least I am taking one class right??

I am enjoying my other class a lot!! It allows me to get out and do things! yippee!! It is called arts symposium and it is my last depth requirement I need. I get to go to a bunch of concerts, plays and exhibits and then write a paper on them. The papers aren't hard, and I actually like writing them :)

I am still trying to get my mary kay inventory downsized. I just have so much stuff, and it is stressing me out! So if you know anyone at all out there that would love some great deals on mary kay stuff, let me know!!!
well I am going to sign off now, have fun

My life

School has started for me, and I am officially back. Only taking six credits, and really hoping I can do it!!!! I know it doesn't seem like much, but with chronic mono it is a lot!!
So the Box elder county fair is going on this week. I am probably going tonight, I am excited. It is my brothers birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TREVOR!!!!!! That was just for him :)
I am pretty sure I did to much yesterday, I went to school and then came home about two and then went to a mary kay meeting at six. I went to bed at ten and then ......didn't wake up until one in the afternoon! That is when I can tell I did too much. It gets so confusing sometimes. I feel good, but I still tell myself that I need to pace myself so I don't wind up sleeping for a whole day. Then other times I wonder if I am the one holding myself back from getting completely better because I am not up and doing things ( ie....exercising, but I am worried that will put me out for more then a day). It is consantly this battle of what I should be doing! It drives me insane! Sometimes I wonder if I brought the chonic mono upon myself, and I could have done something to prevent it. I hate looking up info online about it, because I seem to never find a happy ending to the stories I read about people having chronic mono. I have just stopped doing that because I am determined my story will have a happy ending!

Married for three years!!!!

Us in front of the temple
RB and I at our reception
This was my beautiful cake, the back of it anyways!!

RB and I have been married for three wonderful years!! Wow, time flies by fast! When I got married I thought that I would definitely not be still living in the same apartment, well look at us, we still are!!! I am not mad about it at all, they have been really nice apartments to live in so far. The only complaint is noisy neighbors and a broken air conditioner! Good thing I live in Logan and it is only really hot about two months out of the year!! I also Had a birthday recently, I don't want to be older so I have decided that I am going to just forget how old I am! Then when people ask I can just say "I don't know". I am going to start school this monday again. I am nervous and a bit worried. I want to finish my degree, but I don't want my body to freak out!! I am only taking six credits, so I think I will be just fine :) wish me luck!!! I got blood work done and the Dr said I have chronic mono!!! crazy huh? At least it isn't nearly as bad as it was in January and February!
RB's dad had surgury and everything went pretty well. He is out and on his way to recovery.

One thing I can't believe is my baby sister is gone to college!!!!!! That is so weird! I hope everything goes well for her and that she can stay safe, happy, and healthy!
